ABOUT HEATHER LANGLEY

Heather Langley is an animation director, storyboard artist, and writer based in Los Angeles, CA. She is best known for her contributions to the Emmy-award winning show Rick and Morty (seasons 6-8) and her independent films.

 

Heather received her MFA from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television where she was the recipient of the Matt Groening Fellowship, an award granted to students using film to advocate for social and environmental justice. Heather's animated shorts premiered at festivals internationally and received numerous accolades, including two CINE Golden Eagle Award Finalist nominations.

Her work, which is often autobiographical, deals with themes of compassion, grief, and forgiveness. As a Northern California native, she is also heavily influenced by her lifelong love of nature and the great outdoors. Currently, Heather is in production on her first graphic memoir "Half Sister," which explores the complicated relationship between her late brother and herself.
