C100 is a non-profit, member-driven association of Canadian thought leaders in the San Francisco Bay Area committed to supporting and accelerating the innovation economy in Canada. EARTH & FIRE: THE CLAY SCULPTURES OF GERDA FRANCESCA
CLIENT: Private client
Book layout / print design
Gerda Francesca is a locally beloved ceramicist based in Auburn, CA who teaches sculpture out of her studio and volunteers with the PlacerArts Association. In 2014, she approached me about helping her design a book of her artwork. It was a joy to help her gather photographs and put together this lovely coffee table book, which she self-published.
LIBERTY MEANS EQUALITY
CLIENT: The Amplifier Foundation
Graphic design
Amplifier is a nonprofit design lab that builds art and media experiments to amplify important political and social movements. Together with their social change partners in both the for profit and nonprofit worlds, the lab builds media campaigns that shift culture and change the national narrative, which they do by drawing from diverse artists to commission powerful visual storytelling. Amplifier then distributes the work in unparalleled numbers through a creative use of media, reaching huge audiences and driving real change. Since 2015, they’ve commissioned over 400+ artists, distributed tens of millions of pieces of art and sent free artwork to hundreds of thousands of students across the United States.

In early 2017 I donated several works of graphic art to the Women's March. My poster was later chosen by The Amplifier Foundation to be exhibited in a special nation-wide gallery tour of artwork created for the Women's March on Washington, promoting gender equality and civil rights.
GOD, SKY & LAND
CLIENT: Spectrum Magazine
Book layout / print design / illustration
In 2010 I led a book publication project funded by a small theological non-profit. The book, written by two university professors, seeks to translate and contextualize the ancient Hebrew of Genesis I. When I was asked to lead the project, I knew it would be helpful to inject some art into an otherwise dense text. I designed the book with an artistic, friendly sensibility to offset the academic subject matter, and added my own illustrations to each chapter. I'm proud to say the book is officially on Amazon, and a copy is sitting on a shelf somewhere in the Library of Congress.
